Re-Volt

Tracks, links, help & more...

July 24th 2010
Almost through the half of my summer vacation, so I thought I would post some news. Well, actually there isn't much to say, I am just enjoying every second I can to with my family. I am mostly focusing on building models for my next track project, when I am online, but I don't blame myself for working slowly while I am having vacation. Other projects like The Re-Volt Magazine, will be delayed again as it has been many time before and I apologize for that. Everybody is welcome to send me an e-mail and complain, I will kindly reply to everything you have to say.

But what is most important for me right now, is to keep this website up to date and keep my main projects alive, so I have something to talk to ya about. That's why I in this update have decided to make you able to comment on the latest news, just click on the date above. smiley

After getting some feedback, I understood that it's hard to see where to download WolfR4 tracks on the converted tracks page. I uploaded a fix that should help on that tho, please contact me if you still find the layout confusing. Dark Park has not also got a Re-size with great help from Jigebrens Re-sizer tool. The 512 version is now available at urnemanden.com.

Welcome to the updated urnemanden.com! There is load of things I've changed since last update, so instead of mentioning them all I suggest that you take your own trip around the site. I especially recommend WolfR4 & 512patch users to take a look at the Tracks Section. The only section that isn't exactly finished yet, is the RVM section, but I will update the page within next week. Also, Thanks to Coothead & KayTheFalcon for all the help they have provided!

The last days I've been ill, but I managed to work on a few things so I could update the news today. I've been creating a new and almost mathematically correct Comic Layout Page and currently working on the first page, which takes from hours to minutes depending on how the original author of the comic has developed the comic. 1 Comic page contains 12 (4x3) pictures where each currently is approximately 776x742 pixels.
Since WolfR4 & the 512 patch has come to the community, I've been working on converting my released tracks to be compatible with both. Only the 512 patch tracks has been uploaded to urnemanden.com, but I am planning to review the whole website and possibly change some things here and there. With that said, I don't know how long will go before I can come with the next news update, but I'll hopefully do sooner or later.

I've been looking alot into hul files, their structure and a bit C++ lately, because I wanted to understand how they work. Afterall they are the reason to that many of nowadays custom cars is driving weirdly or not colliding correctly with other cars. I messed a bit around with Skinduptruk's hul2txt yesterday and found everything very interesting. It's such a shame that Kay's Hul editor got lost at a crash!
Todays work involved the Gmax tutorials which I updated and made more HTML compatible, even though nowadays internet browsers would've read the old code correctly without any trouble. But while I was at it, I thought I could do a new part of the Gmax tutorials, so here you go:

Since last time, JungleVolt has been updated Once again, now from version 1.12 to 1.2. The new update fixes a bug reported by zipperrulez and hilaire9 - to be more exact there was a track zone missing at one of the shortcuts.
The 512 version of JungleVolt has also been updated. I managed to push the HQ Score up to 69%, which right now is the highest score compared to any other of my tracks. The new 512version is also containing the official JungleVolt Theme Pack, including new spru and fxpages. I enjoy this version much more than the original extreme and I hope you do too!

A good start on a new year, even though I aleready got a cold. I just wanted to send out a notice that I've officially released the HQ Extreme versions of Radioactive Garden and JungleVolt. You can download both on their own details page.
I will probably upload some more tracks that has been manually re-sized up to the hopefully soon new standard of textures with 512 dimensions. Their zips has been uploaded to the same folder as where JungleVolt and Radioacitve Garden is.

Today I've created a short tutorial you can use to setup your screen settings with. Just keep in mind that it just is a guideline, it's up to you how it should look like.
Also, check out the new cool theme I've made at The Re-Volt Forum. I hope that things is getting more active over there, I am trying to be there as much as I can.
